Weekend Activity -- Kids Learn2Ride

EVENT DETAILS

Attend a Learn2Ride drop in session at Avondale Central Reserve to teach your kids aged from 2 to years old how to ride a bike. AT’s team of qualified instructors help to increase confidence and bike handling skills, plus offer simple steps and tips for parents to get kids riding. Whether starting on a balance bike or making the transition to pedals, these courses will teach your kids how to ride a bike and get them started on their cycling journey. Each event is weather dependent and you can drop in anytime during the session. Bring your own bike or try one of Auckland Transport’s bikes. Courses will operate under all traffic light settings of the COVID-19 Protection Framework. As part of this, all attendees over 12 years of age will need to show proof of full vaccination status. Avondale Central Reserve is behind the big Avondale spider. There is a carpark off Racecourse Parade. From there walk towards the public toilets and down towards the racecourse and look out for the flags and instructor team. Registration is not required, but keep an eye on the Auckland Transport events page on Facebook to see any cycling event updates.
